Back in 2000 I was a stockbroker in Ft Lauderdale and I had written this story about my kinkajou, Peeper, for fun. I woke up one day, resigned from my company and my wife and I decided to move to the keys. We went down that weekend and bought a house. My friends asked what I was going to do and when I replied write children's books they all thought I lost my mind. Maybe I did, but I still became a multi-Award winning children's book author who was able to live on an island in the keys fishing daily when I wasn't getting paid to tour and promote my book as a celebrity.Many people are afraid to follow their dreams because they are afraid of the unknown.
